The SLS-HPULN (Regulators in Series, L-size, Single Rail) power supply offers a huge improvement on PSRR: Five LT3045 followed by another five LT3045 in series, resulting in an Ultrahigh PSRR of 2x76dB (up to 166dB) at 1MHz and so in the highest PSRR for a power supply on market.
The new version also benefits of "Low Acoustic Noise" capacitors (chosen for lowest leakage current, two in parallel for better ESR) in the SET-path of the LT3045 regulators to improve reference voltage, regulation precision and avoid piezo effect! A measuring point on the top of the PCB makes it now very easy to set the output voltage of the first regulation stage.
Anti-transformer-ringing snubber
The SLS-HPULN has a snubber option, which makes it possible to significantly reduce transformer ringing. Please see "Quasimodo PCB" for more information. In case of ordering this power supply with a transformer, the snubber will already be configured. In case it's ordered alone, the snubber can be set by the customer - we recommend to use the Quasimodo jig for that purpose.
The SLS-HPULN power supply can also be used without a snubber.
With a bigger heatsink mounted it is also capable to better dissipate heat from the regulators.
The scope of application is a main power supply for any kind of sensible devices with a need of up to 2,5 ampere, i.e.:
